It's actually one of my pet peeves, but I tolerate it because I know people don't mean anything by it. I couldn't tell you how many times I've been asked "why are you "death"?" or told "I didn't know you were "death"!" I'm nearly always briefly tempted to tell them that there's an "F" on the end of the word...it's D-E-A-F...but I'm just grateful that they're interested, so I usually let it go.
This cartoon struck me VERY funny, though...so I had to share it....just a little deaf humor to make you smile :)
